Solar 101 Workshop - Michigan Interfaith Power & Light

Solar 101

This workshop will answer: Is my facility a good candidate for solar power? How much does it cost and how can my congregation pay for it? How much could my house of worship save on electric costs every year?

Come and talk with solar experts and members of churches who have installed solar panels.

Our host, Gesu Catholic Church and School, recently installed a solar PV system on its roof. After the workshop, there will be an opportunity to go up to the roof to view the panels. Note that this will require some level of physical fitness, including climbing a ladder. Dress accordingly.

This is a free event! Lunch will be served. RSVPs required.

Download the flyer.

This workshop will be repeated on August 6 at Pilgrim Baptist Church (Detroit).

This event is sponsored by Community Action to Promote Healthy Environments and the Michigan Agency for Energy.
