About the Event:
Michigan Interfaith Power & Light, in collaboration with Lord of Lords Ministries, is thrilled to invite you to a joyous occasion filled with sunshine and community spirit! Join us as we commemorate MIIPL's two decades of empowering communities and celebrate Lord of Lords Ministries' historic achievement as the 1st Black church in Detroit to embrace solar energy through the Solar Solidarity program.
What to Expect:
- Solar-Themed Love Fest: Bask in the warmth of community and the power of solar energy with us!
- Free Food: Enjoy hotdogs or plant-based Boujie Burgers.
- Community Giveaways: Take home essentials, including clothing and groceries, and enter giveaway drawings for solar lights.
- Music and Artistic Sun Celebration: Groove to the beats of DJ Will, enjoy a high energy West African dance performance by Culturvated, and immerse yourself in creative expressions of solar-inspired art.
- Solar Hands-On Activities: Engage in fun and educational activities for all ages, highlighting the wonders of solar power.
- Family Fun: Rejoice in play with a bounce house, sidewalk chalk, and more.
