That’s why people of faith and conscience have a vital role to play: we understand this work as both a moral responsibility and a spiritual calling.

Donate Stock

Supporting Michigan IPL through a gift of stock is a powerful way to multiply your impact while enjoying potential tax benefits. Our policy is to sell donated stock upon receipt, and the proceeds are directed toward our general operating expenses—fueling our ongoing work.

Give Through Your IRA

If you are 72 or older, a contribution to Michigan IPL can satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD). You can donate up to $100,000 to Michigan IPL from your IRA without it being counted as taxable income.

To make a gift from your IRA, download and complete this letter, then submit it to your IRA administrator.

‍Leave a gift in your will

Including Michigan IPL in your will is a meaningful way to ensure your commitment to faith-based environmental stewardship continues for generations to come. A gift in your will may also qualify your estate for a charitable estate tax deduction.

You can make this gift by including the following language in your will:

“I give (insert dollar amount) or (insert a specific asset, such as securities, real estate, or other property) or (insert percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to Michigan Interfaith Power & Light, a nonprofit organization located in Michigan, to be used for its general purposes.”
