Earth Day Sermon Contest

In honor of Earth Day-- April 22, 2019-- we are once again holding a Sermon Contest!

A winning Earth Day sermon addresses how your faith tradition calls your community to respond to environmental degradation. We especially encourage connecting the health of our water, the health of our air, and the health of our soils with struggles for justice.

Clergy and laypeople from all traditions are encouraged to participate.

Because this year Earth Day happens at the same at time as Passover and Easter, sermons may be delivered any time between now and the end of May.

The winner will receive a Michigan native tree OR selection of native perennials for your congregation's grounds. (And if these don't make sense for your facility, we'll figure out something equally awesome.)
