The Keynote Speaker is Stephen Segall Phd., University of Michigan professor. Stephen Segall is a research physicist who has also written a book on biblical history and the effects of global warming.
Title: Global warming and the biblical flood.
Subtitle: What we can learn from the Bible about the effects of climate change.
Abstract: The biblical flood is an extreme example of the effects of natural climate change. Dr. Stephen Segall, a research physicist, will present evidence for the flood and its cause and link the flood to the long term natural cycle of climate change. The implications for human induced climate change are discussed as well as the directions in which actions must be taken to promote climate stabilization.

Convention Initiatives

TRACK I • Practical Resources: Learn the latest technical information on how to analyze, plan, design, retrofit, build and operate a green building. Plenty of examples, tools, resources and best practices will be provided to participants.

TRACK 2 • Transforming Your Congregation: Learn how to help congregation members take action on global warming by reducing their home energy consumption. Tools and examples will be provided to help you build a vibrant Earth Care team that can be the catalyst for widespread energy reduction and savings within your community.

TRACK 3 • Impacting Your Community: Become involved in advocacy and energy policy development. Ample tools, examples and best practices will be provided.
